About

Hi, my name is PJ Mullen. I am a content creator, blogger, and consultant.

Since 2009 I have enjoyed work as a WordPress Blog Consultant where I have built, installed, and deployed self hosted WordPress based blog sites using premium themes and frameworks, as well as established appropriate social media presence for clients in real estate, apparel, retail, and blogging.

Professionally I’ve handled blogging and social media for Centerfield Sports managing the Spread Your Warmth campaign I created for their Sweatshirt Blanket product line. During the year long campaign we profiled 63 deserving charitable causes. The campaign will come to a close in April 2011 through a NCAA-style bracket tournament as a thank you to all those who supported the campaign during its run.

I also launched the Get in the Game program I created for their Adirondack Fleece line of embroidered fleece blankets where we profile youth sports teams and athletic associations in an effort help raise awareness for the funding crisis in which they find themselves. This program ran from September 2010 through February 2011.

For more than two years I consulted with a New York City real estate agent with TOWN Residential. Initially tasked with redeveloping the agent’s website using WordPress, I have also worked on content strategy and contributed food related content to coincide with a marketing promotion.

I got my start blogging in 2006 when I started a wordpress.com account and blogged about a home renovation project. From there I graduated to self hosting and went on to blog about football at Draft Nuggets, my life as a stay at home dad at Real Men Drive Minivans and my culinary adventures at peaches en risotto.

Currently deciding what I want to blog about next, I can be found at Digital Dads writing about food and craft beer.

Through blogging I have been fortunate to have had a number of opportunities come my way. I was a member of the Bumble Bee Foods “Bee Squad” from January 2011 through December 2012, a Weeknight Meal Expert for Manwich’s “Case of the Mandays” campaign from January to April 2013,  a contributor to Man of the House (a Proctor and Gamble media property), a member of the Shared Tastes Panel at Ready Set Eat (a ConAgra media property), have worked with several brands including AT&T, Sony, RedEnvelope, Conair, Lands End and Baby Brezza, a contributor writing about music at Dad Blogs (now Dad Exchange), and won the 2010 Perdue Verifiably Good Video Contest.

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife, son and daughter, am an amateur chef, craft beer enthusiast, wannabe author, blogging fool, recovering football addict, prolific air drummer, and the Stig in a minivan.

My full portfolio of work can be found here.
