There are certain times, like holidays or when friends are in from out of town, and I want to put something different on the breakfast table. I could go with eggs and bacon, or french toast or even pancakes. Still, there is something else that takes the same effort as the rest, but has a bit of a wow factor: a Dutch Baby. Let’s Talk Breakfast, my milestone 50th post over at Digital Dads.

As my daughter’s first birthday approached it was time for me to do one of my favorite things – plan a party menu. In the “every kid is different” department our little girl couldn’t be more different than our son in that she willingly eats meat, especially sausage. A Tale of Two Sausages one of my latest at Digital Dads.

Alton Brown through his show Good Eats was a huge influence on me and how I cook. When I learned that he was ending things after 249 episodes it was a sad day for me. My lastest at Digital Dads is an Ode to Good Eats.

Inspiration is a funny thing, you never know when it is going to strike. While prepping to cook my home cured beef brisket I wondered whether or not anyone had ever made a burger out of corned beef. Unable to find the answer to my question online I decided to just make my own Corned Beef Burgers, my latest at Digital Dads.

What’s Cooking at Digital Dads
I’m pleased to announce that I am now a contributing writer over at Digital Dads. I’ll be writing about stuff like food and fatherhood (shocking, I know) and my first post has just gone live. A big thank you to C.C. Chapman for allowing me to join the team.
Here’s a quick snippet from my first column:
Super Bowl Winning Short Ribs
Greetings, I’m PJ Mullen and I’m honored to be the newest contributor here at Digital Dads. I am a stay at home dad to two, a husband, amateur chef and prolific air drummer. I’ll be coming to you each Thursday talking about being a dad and, of course, food, which I believe is the great connector.
With the football season in full swing I thought I’d kick things off with something that can be prepared in advance and cooked while you’re busy watching your favorite team. By the time you’re ready to celebrate victory (or drown your sorrows) with beefy goodness, these short ribs will be ready to serve.
